just over 25 pounds in 7 weeks. 3.6 pounds a week. I think that is a pretty good pace :D

STILL Going strong!

this time around I am concentrating on cardio. I've been on this rollercoaster many times before (as this thread clearly illustrates) and the thing I typically concentrate is on weight training. But when I lift weights I need to eat, and I eat a lot....and hence my weight loss is slow and slight, and when I fall of the wagon, I still eat the same and my weight climbs right back.

This time, cardio and eating better and eating less is the goal. My weight training is very limited and concentrated on arms at this point.

Sweet!

How's it feel within your routine? Is this stuff you think you can continue doing regularly for a few more decades?

That is a hard question Charlie. I think that once I lose some more weight I want to get into some sort of sport - like basketball, or volleyball - so that I can take pleasure in exercising for the long stretch.

so past two weeks I have been eating more regular food to see if I can maintain my weight - even had chipotle one day and some less desirable snacks [read: chips] a few times. Last week I had a cold and only went to the gym twice. I weighted in at 299 Sunday night - so I think that is pretty good :)

Back at it starting yesterday. Next goal - 290.

My motivation: I don't see too many >60y.o. fat people walking around!

Well, I've plateaued. I've been hanging around that 290 mark for a couple weeks now. 287-292 range. I have not changed what I'm doing at all - but the weight is not dropping. If this continues for another week, I will introduce a little more weight training into my exercise - perhaps that will burn some more energy. Unless anyone else has a different suggestion.

Well, I did change one thing - I did start doing a little bit of the stair machine....but I don't see how that would influence my weight loss in the negative...or positive...you know what I mean.
