honestly, i'm trying to get back into my hobby and I can also use this to jam on without running it through my computer. Since I've been out of college I haven't had a chance to play much and I just needed a new basic keyboard.
that said, this came with Cakewalk's Sonar LE sequencing/composition software which, even though its the non-pro version, is more advanced then the high-end stuff I was using in college 5 to 10 years ago. (I actually majored in electronic composition and theory for two years before switching to communications) I'm really looking forward to composing/writing/sequencing again on my computer.
