I can get it from Opera, but it doesn't work as well.  I have to use IE anyway for the grading site so...

Speaking of servers...how's the server doing on $ ober?  Happy to donate if it's needed...

No need.  Our hosting will run out in March of next year.  Between now and then I'll move it to my server.  I'm not going to ask for money to host it.  If people want to donate when the time comes, that's up to them.

Could we add an inconspicuous ad somewhere on the site that we can click on occasionally? How many clicks does it take to get to the center of a any amount of money.

I've actually never done ads.  I swore I'd never do it here and I'd like to stick to that.... unless everyone else decides otherwise.

I split this out of another thread in Software to get everyone else's feedback... mainly on the ads idea.

I'm going to move this board to my server between now and March and I'll provide the hosting.  I'm not looking to make any money off of this, but this is a democracy (HAHAHAHA) so I want your input.

I wouldnt mind the ad(s) but isnt it easier to setup a paypal donation button, or link in the main menu? If someone is going to take the time to click ads i imagine they would take the time to kick 5 or 10 bucks via paypal.

Not a big fan of ads at all.  I'm happy to kick in some money every once in a while, but I think ads would destroy the virginal innocence of our community.

Ads can sometimes be a necessary evil but not here.  I have no problem with setting up some sort of donation page.

I'd probably just block the ads :p  I don't have a paypal account but I think you can credit card money via paypal without an account now, so i don't mind just donating when needed.
