Had a pretty sweet run on the treadmill last night.  I haven't run a sub-7 minute mile since high school.

Out and back for 8 miles at a local park.  It's plowed, which is a nice touch.  Windy as heck, but pretty nice.  We've got a couple "warm" days coming up that I'll take advantage of before we get 3" of snow on Wednesday

I skipped two days last week :(

4 easy Monday @ 8:42/mi (outside woo!)
5.2 quick Tuesday @ 8:15/mi (supposed to be speed work on a track but they're still snow-covered. this run was brutal because I had a lot of ice to dodge)
5 tempo Thursday night @ 7:55/mi (felt like a million bucks)
4 recovery early this morning @ 9:10/mi (blurg)

Kind of a crappy week - was traveling and skipped a couple runs.  Did get good long ones in after work this weekend though!

Mon: 5mi @ 8:07 pace
Tues: FAT
Wed: 4.7mi @ 8:03 pace
Thurs: FAT
Fri: FAT
Sat: 6mi @ 8:18 pace
Sun: 10mi @ 8:37 pace, which is my longest run since my marathon

Doing 7 after work today, which will put me at 121 miles for the month.

Last night was brutal: http://app.strava.com/activities/128401551

Hanson's first "strength" workout, 6x1mi repeats at 10 seconds faster than race pace.  I've got absolutely no science to back it up, but repeats at a pace seem a lot harder than just running a certain pace; I think 6 miles @ 7:50 would have been easier than this.  Today is a rest day, thank god

I had a fucking baller run last night. 7 miles tempo, supposed to be at half marathon race pace but it was gorgeous out and I felt good so I just went with it.  Set "Fat Jeremy" PRs in the mile, 5K, and 10K.  Would have been faster except I apparently started running without trying my shorts so I had to stop and tie them, heh.

I won't bore you with the actual posts, but I've hit 41 and 39 miles in my training the last two weeks.  I'll probably have about 150 miles for the month.

I don't know if that is a lot or not in the training community, but like Knuck said, Damn - that seems like a lot of miles. I don't know how you do it.

Are you doing any marathon's this year?
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

I put on my shoes and I go outside.  Sometimes I stay inside.  The first step is the hardest.

During the week, I either get up at 5 and go or I go right after work.  Now that it'll be lighter out later, I'll probably do some runs after Sammy goes to bed at 8:30 or so.  On the weekends, I usually run longer so I either get up early (try to be out the door no later than 5:30 or 6, depending on light) or I go during Sammy's nap.  For easy runs, I'm going to start taking him the stroller a little more.  He seems to like it.  I don't really do a lot besides run.  I hardly watch TV, I don't play video games, and I don't go out to bars or anything.  Part of that is just because I have a two year old, and a lot of it is just because I don't feel like it.

Right now the only races I'm signed up for are a non-serious 5K this Friday, my target half marathon in June, a running festival where I'll be doing the half, 5K, and two 5 milers (but mostly I'll be drinking beer and cheering for people and partying), and the Grand Rapids Marathon in October.

Hoping to break 23 minutes in my 5K this week, 1:45 in the Dexter Half, and 4 hours at the GR marathon.

5 miles @ 8:34/mi last night.  Just easy recovery on the treadmill

For shits and giggles, here are the times of day I've run in the last two weeks.  Like I said, I get it in when I can
8:47pm
1:33pm
3:58pm
5:20am
4:30pm
4:07pm
7:13pm
8:01am
3:53pm
4:30pm
4:35pm
5:07am

So mostly right after work, but sometimes early in the morning, sometimes in the evening
