Giordanos Chicago
« on: March 02, 2010, 01:10:20 PM »
10/10.

I was in Chicago for about 12 hours yesterday/last night and i stopped at Giordanos, AMAZING food. I'm pretty sure it was off Sheridan (River Park, Jake?) and we had the Giordanos Special stuffed pizza and a bunch of appetizers. It was so good i ordered a second large pizza to go. It lasted about halfway back to Grand Rapids hehe.

What a beautiful city. My boss swears i have been there before, and a lot of it looked familiar but it was like the first time for me because i don't remember the last time i was there at all. We hit the Oakley Outlet too, i dont think any of us spent less then $450 there.
hey ethic if you and i were both courting lily allen..... oh wait, which one of us has a relationship that lasted more than the bus ride home?

there are Giordanos all over the place...and to be honest, the pie is not that great. Let me rephrase that...it is a great pie for someone that is visiting, like ROD, but there is plenty of better pie out in the city. I usually get my pizza from Rosatis - good thin crust. if you like chicago style (pan pizza) Moretti's is the place to be.

BTW, Giordanos is grossly overpriced....

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Also, next time you're in the city you have to try Portillos. Best damn chicago style food (in a chain restaurant)!

try their italian beef with hot peppers - mmmmm. and onion rings too. The polish is good too.

I will probably be back there in a few weeks, maybe a month if you want to show us some good food or whatever. We hit this place mainly because of where we were and it was. And yea, prices were a bit steep but hey it tasted good. The aitress did say that she wasnt a fan of the pizza but loves everything else they have.
