Tell them to give me a call...Going to be less dramatic, but long term FAR worse than Katrina - if for no other reason: Those marshes, depleted as they may be, are the natural protection from hurricanes....now they're going to all be gone....

The problem with that one is that the microbes may use all the oxygen in the water.  Creates a huge deadzone - and right now in the gulf there already is one in this very spot from all the fertilizer that the midwest uses....if there isn't O2 in the water - the microbes won't be worth a thing....
