My whiskey glasses arrived today

I ordered a set of these last week and they showed up today.

They're really nice and I figured since I'm trying to get into whiskey (bourbon) I should get some proper glassware. They have a weighted bottom that feels nice to hold and drink from and I think the size is just right for casual enjoyment. I really like the shape too.

Some of my favorite drinking glasses are the basic ones that come in the Jack Daniels gift set.

my favorite whiskey glasses were like $4 each at crate and barrel.  I drink eveything on the rocks, so I prefer thick glass to cut down on condinsation and give a good weight, considering the small amount of liquid.  Also, I like a wide mouth so I can clean it easily by hand (I have big hands)

I'm with micah on this one. We get ours at pier 1 imports - i think they are $2/each. I don't know if they are "whiskey" glasses per se, we use them for everything, including alcohol. I would call them more highball glasses.

You know, it's perfectly possible to enjoy a drink without being a drunk. For a young guy you sometimes come across as pretty pompous.

kb, I have one of those Sam's glasses too and I like it quite a bit. Most of the time I use my pint Guinness glasses.

I also have a couple fancy Dalmore tumblers that I've been using until I got these Glencairns. I like the tumblers if I'm mixing but I think I like the smaller glass for sipping, no way you're getting ice in these things.

Next on my glassware list is a nice tulip beer glass.

The gf's parents gave us a couple for xmas, but I don't drink pilsners (she does). I'd rather just drink water.

I drink all my beer from the Bud/Coors Light bottle.  Unless its draft.  Then I drink it from whatever glass its served in.
