The basic concept im currently working on is this. You see a map of the usa, you click on your state of choice and your given a list of fugitives (from a db) on the next page. Simple enough.
My question is on the map itsself. I dont think i want to use google maps, too much overhead for what im doing. I was thinking a simple map image with html mapping for targeting the states. But i recall that the map's are a PITA and introduce more code then i think is really needed. I know the fugitive list will be handled with php and css, but i was wondering what you guys think for the map of the states.
I could even just do a state listing but this seems cleaner.
