Thinking of adding a tuner
« on: June 24, 2007, 11:36:42 PM »
I am considering this card to add a tuner to my pc.  Anyone ever fool with this kind of thing?  Experiences?

Had a roommate that had one when i was in college... totally fucked with his video card and caused major game-playing problems.  I'm sure they've gotten better, but unless you're going to watch a lot of TV on your PC... i wouldn't bother.

I've got that one in my PC. I run it with GBPVR and an MediaMVP for a cheap Tivo system. I haven't had any problems with it in my PC but I don't do much in the way of gaming on it.

I've got the double tuner version of that card (the 500).  I also run GBPVR.  I love it.  I've had no problems.  I'm not running a Media MVP yet, but using file sharing, GBPVR on my laptop uses the database to play the shows so I can use my desktop for other things...
govtcheez03:  i kind of look for it - i seek out stupidity and annoy it until it either gets better, gets banned, or goes away on its own
