XP Install
« on: December 25, 2007, 12:02:11 PM »
Does anyone know if you can use the same disk for multiple installs as long as you have seperate keys?  I never got the disk with my Dell laptop and I want to wipe it clean (and not re-use their crap partition to restore).  I have the disc that is for my tower, so I want to know if I can just use that disk and use the key that came with my laptop..... crap... except that the key for my laptop is XP home and the disc for my desktop is pro... CRAP!

Not always. Some legal XP copies will allow you to do this, but 99.9% of them only work with the issued key.
hey ethic if you and i were both courting lily allen..... oh wait, which one of us has a relationship that lasted more than the bus ride home?
