which card do I have?
« on: April 13, 2006, 11:52:53 AM »
a friend of mine gave a used ati radeon and I need to find out which model it is. I know that it is an AGP, but unfortunately I don't have an AGP slot :( on this computer. The guy doesn't know what card it is either....

I googled all the serial and other part numbers and came out empty handed. Any suggestions?

I'll post a pic of it later.

Interesting.... doesn't sound like there's much we'll be able to do for you, however.

The FCC ID is a good place to start...

I thought that was only for communications (NICs, Modems, etc)?

It's for "devices that are capable of emiting radiofrequency energy when in use", which would include  (AFAIK) many if not most PC Mobos and add-on cards. I think the key phrase is "capable of", and not "intended to".

edit>> You may be thinking of the FCC Registration number

The FCC ID is NOT related to the FCC Registration Number under Part 68 Connection of Terminal Equipment to the Telephone Network.
