at first i hated the idea of death cab for cutie's singer starting another band that's essentially a techno version of death cab for cutie. and i hate techno in general. this isn't half bad though. the songwriting is done really well and the electronics give each song a unique feel. it's proof that electronics need not be used exclusively for evil.
on a side note, a bunch of indie artists are using electronics in their work, as well as not-so-indie types like billy corgan.
