thats the second youtube video today that made me think "holy crap, star trek toys are coming true"

this is the closest to the "Universal Translator" I've ever seen.

Earlier today I watched google's demo of their GPS software for Android phones that reminded me of the ease in which Enterprise personnel communicated with the ships computer:

"Navigate to the Museum in San Fransisco showing the King Tut exhibit"

good lucking getting your Tom Tom to interpret that sentence.

Damn, I've been pondering if I should build an app like that. I've been discussing the idea with a few people but wasn't sure how useful it would be with what's already available.
