I hope that was a blast screen around there.  Decomposition water can be bad and MythBusters have already shown that ice can explode.

There must be some kind of metal in the ice, right? That would explain the flames and the fact that it seems to get dimmer at the end of the video.

There will be all sorts of deposits and impurities within the water, I guess.
