I was hoping you'd say yes.
My team's pitching (like lots of fantasy teams) is made up mostly of #1/2 pitchers - my starters are Ubaldo, Wainwright, and Cain (with Brendan Morrow as a SP/RP). I'm in a H2H points league and it's scored weekly. My lineup doesn't vary a whole lot because I'm lazy and I like my starting lineup the way it is (and I'm in first, so I'm not changing things up). The end result of this is because of timing, in weeks like this week, I have 2 starts from all 4 of my starters, which is great for my points this week. Next week, I'll have 1 start from all of them unless I use one of my bench pitchers. Even though the #1/2 pitchers will (theoretically) get me more points overall, is it a worthwhile strategy to pick up some 3/4 starters so that on weeks like next week I get more starts in total? Right now my bench pitchers are Brian Matusz, who I picked up on a whim but will probably never start because of his team and the fact that he's a rookie, and Gavin Floyd, who I drafted and has burned me every time I've started him.
