Regarding Canucks name

I looked it up in Urban Dictionary.com and found the greatest definition of anything ever, i actually laughed out loud...
Quote
Canuck:

Like an American, except weaker and less inept in basic World and US History. Their daily habits include bashing Americans with unfunny and cookie cut jokes or historic "facts".

Canuck: "We burnt down the White House and invented the telephone!"
Factual History: "Umm, not really."

And it was also patented in the US.

Also, the White House was burned in the War of 1812 by the British.  Even though the Canadians were a British colony, it doesn't mean Bob and Doug McKenzie came down and burned it.  There may have been Canadians involved, but that doesn't exactly mean that they burned it down.

Looks like the USA have decided that an Italian immigrant was the inventor of the telephone:
Quote from: wiki
(Alexander Graham Bell)
Meucci was recognised as the original inventor by the United States Congress in Resolution 269, dated June 11, 2002.
No doubt when the Hollywood movie comes out he'll have been transformed into a 6'8" blue-eyed, blonde average US American superhero type and will have added penicillin, among others, to his many inventions. :p

So, he moved from Canada to -er- Canada. :p

I think everyone is just going to have to accept that Meucci invented the phone because the US Congress said he did (well, according to the wonderful world of wiki, he did).

I accept nothing... and you cannot change my mind.
