Wait!  The cams are the same?

Use a sealant.  Not a wax.  Fuck colored waxes.

This typically means the clear coat is failing.  The paint may or may not be.  When the paint itself fails, it will usually flake before actually losing pigment.

You may be able to have the cc buffed and have the failing portion removed.  A quality detail shop can tell you immediately if it is possible.  Squirting a "wax" that is colored sort of the same shade as your paint really won't help too much.

What you need most at this point is a sealant that is very durable to protect the remaining cc and or paint.

Try one of these if you can obtain one....

In order of extreme durability.

1 - The single best I am aware of.  Very little is required per layer.  You can layer as much as is required.  It is extremely durable and holds up well on roofs and hoods due to its resistance to extreme temperatures.  Very easy to apply and remove IF you apply in very very light layers.  A can sealed properly will last most people a decade.

2 - This is in every way a close second to the first choice.

3 - Both of these sealants are Wipe On Walk Away.  They do not require you to buff off the excess.  They have very good durability and can be layered if you wait about 12 hours between coats.  Again.  Very little is needed for a coat.  A bottle should last they typical user at least 5 years.
