Topic: Anyone here know how to read music?

I am two notes that are the same and joined with a slur and a tied note, how show should it be played?
Do i still play it twice? Or just let it last longer?

Although I feel like I've seen notes that are tied and staccato. If that's the case, it might be played differently depending on the instrument...

In the case you're looking at, the note is just held.

Yup.  Although I guess it helps to have background in piano and a couple of wind instruments.
