I don't but only because GIT doesn't natively integrate with Dreamweaver like Subversion

Right now I'm not using git but am trying to learn it so I can give it a fair shake. SVN handles 99% of the stuff I want to do so it is only when that 1% comes up that I give git a look.

I skipped SVN and went straight to git, which similarly does everything I need it to. And branching! So nice. Plus, with github, it makes code hosting so damned simple and social.

We use Mercurial. That or Git are way better than cvs/svn.

After a decade of svn it isn't easy changing. To resistance to the idea, it is just that SVN is so familiar and easy to use for my needs.

Been playing with git and it has some great features. It requires a bit more verbose working than SVN does but that does make things easier in a way. I just found out that you can stage part of a file's changes for commit. That is awesome!

SVN seems so much easier than git when it's already setup in eclipse (although I didn't realize it was, so maybe git is too). My friend suggested I use assembla and that seems like a good solution for me since all I need to do is have synchronized projects between my home PC and my school PC, so I just hit "commit" when I'm done working. Then again, there's probably something even simpler I could use (dropbox?)

I use dropbox for that.

Dropbox won't give you a project history though. There's been a few times when I noticed something not working that used to work, being able to diff against old versions saved me a ton of time.
