CSS Problems
« on: October 04, 2005, 05:45:54 PM »
Ive been working on a site for the company I am currently working at, and am having some issues.

This is a link to one page on the site (WIP)

http://www.freewebs.com/prongs44/test/laser_new.html

I had problems with IE and the drop shadows but fixed them (although that link does not have the fixed page)

The problem:

I would like to put the content on the page as it is currently displayed, a picture on one side, and the content on the other side, so it zig zags down the page depending on the amount of content I have.

My first attempt included floating the images to the left or right, and having

tags for the text, adjusting the padding accordingly for each side (left or right).

I would get it to look decent in FF and Opera, although I had some spacing issue, but it would look horrible in IE.

I then tried to put the content in a table, but IE would only accept cm and em as padding for tables, and the spacing (paddding) was all over the place in IE.

What is the best approach to having images/content like this, so that it looks good in IE, FF and Opera?

Thanks

Also any comments on the site as it is would be greatly appreciated :)
