salvelinus has proposed that we ban ILoveVectors.
I quote him

Can I have mod powers to ban this fuckhead troll? At least Dean had style. If this is him, he's lost that.

I say no ban... just because he has a controvercial and unpopular opinion doesn't call for a ban IMO.

I think it is good that he holds his opinion.  In the future, if he never agrees to anything *ever*, and always for the purpose of argument, that may require a ban.

But we shouldn't ban him now. (or maybe ever)

most of the peopel here, and at cp are cool as hell,
one reason i post alot, but if you deny me my opinion,
they i would rather not be apart of the forums, either
way there'd be no reason for a ban because i will quit
posting, if everything i ever said was unwelcome.

btw since i can no longer post contest, can i recommend opening
a contest board here?

suprisingly, after the many people i have helped,
it amazes me that they banned me for a little
comment on cprogramming.com

P.S.
i joined thsi board off the cprogramming board, because
i liked the style and thought that this was a more carefree place
were we coudl really share and say what we thought.

i havent posted here much cause there not alot of topics
that share my intrested but i sitll check it quite often.

also i suppose i should thank you for letting then general public
vote on this issue, make this board really stand for something
i think, something great.

I voted yes...merely because no was pulling ahead.  Besides, what good is having the power to ban if you never use it?

Great avatar, pianorain.

edit: No on the ban: having a contrary opinion that reflects an insensitive, narrow-minded, intolerant and ignorant mind-set are insufficient reasons in my view for a banning.

But you really need to stop drinking, ILV, and start using a spell-checker; it's one thing having annoying and largely invidious viewpoints but failing to express them in something approximating to coherent language just won't do.

No, banning should be used as little as possible.

Except in sang-drax's case.... where daily bannings are authorized.  :)
