Ahh, that would be great. Except I would want to record from my over-the-air antenna, and be able to schedule shows to record and whatnot.
My Tivo has inputs for an OTA antenna.  No problem there.  And you can manually schedule items and even set recordings for weekly stuff without the scheduling stuff.  The Tivo itself is a fully functional DVR without the service.

Hmm... that's definitely worth considering. Actually... my dad has an old TiVo sitting in his garage. I wonder if I can try it out with that.

Hmm... that says it doesn't support antenna.  It says you'll need the subscription service but I think that's BS.  You might want to talk to Tivo before you dive in.

Yeah, but I already have GoogleTV and I'm looking for alternatives, so what does that tell you?

(It tells me that GoogleTV doesn't support Hulu or ABC or some other things, so that Vizio thing isn't a great option.)

So I'm on a trial of Hulu plus and i gotta say, i think it blows so far. Yea so it has all 7 seasons of Inuyasha which is cool, but 99% of what i want to watch is "web only" It almost never loads either, it took twenty minutes to get through the ads earlier when netflix and the internet were fine.
hey ethic if you and i were both courting lily allen..... oh wait, which one of us has a relationship that lasted more than the bus ride home?

Cable shouldn't have advertising by that measure.

This is a different medium. Netflix charges $8/mo, no commercials. Hulu has a lot of balls to charge only $1 less and be loaded with the stuff.

What are you watching it on if not the "web"?

I'm using the Wii. I tried to watch Wilfred and Burn Notice, both will not let you watch them on the TV. Now if I had windows I could use ORB and get around these issues but I'm on Linux.
