Dear Blizzard,
I'm sorry for every bad thing I've ever said about WoW.  On Friday my addiction for Online RPGs took over me and I purchased WoW.  I love the quests, the lack of obvious grinding, the tutorial tips, the way death is handled.  Thank you thank you thank you.

Respectfully yours,
Kweilna Mike

Don't know how much monthly, I'm still on the free month.  I'll let you know it about a month if its worth it.

[me]Trys to post but is pulled back to WoW[/me]
[me]Tears himself away[/me]

Its $15/month which is pretty much standard.  A TON of content.  The tradeskills are just flat out awesome.

There are a couple issues (LAG!) but they definatly don't out weigh the good.

I think this one will be a multi year keeper like EQ

My brother have played it since January. I have played a little during the weekends I've been in Växjö, but now that I'm home for the summer I'll probably play a little more. It's a good thing that I've got a job...

Lvl 35 gnome mage, btw.

I like the game, but there are bad things about it. Combat can be quite boring, even 'instant cast' spells has a delay of about 1.5-2 seconds. The combats in Diablo 2, for example, were more... intense. The reason for the delays is obvious though. Also, I think many quests are just "kill n creatures" or "collect n xs from that creature".

Now I'm off playing.

Most quests really boil down to 1 of three (in almost all MMORPGs):
Run here and talk to person X
Collect x of y
Kill n of that creature

The trick is making them interesting.  Like last night I was doing a quest to find out some information about a guy because some chick had a preminition.  It was a bunch of running around but the story was great.

Yeah delays are needed, but instant casts spells go off almost immediatly (at least for me).  Its the cooldown that lasts 2.5 seconds.

As for the combat it kinda depends.  If I'm alert most combat is easy for me.  Shoot one at the right angle so it doesn't bring any buddies, send pet in, if pet doesn't get aggro hit spell that reduces my threat, back away shoot shoot shoot, loot mob, skin mob

But for me I love pulling so I can have fun with that.

I do wish the LFG system was a little better though.  But hey every game has it's faults.

MMORPGs suck in general. No immersion. Terrible communities.

I have yet to find an MMORPG that is actually a good game. I've played five of them for at least 2 months.

Dark Age of Camelot and WoW are my two favorite (i played DAoC before the expansions came out).
this apparatus must be unearthed.

Well Gorona is down for today so I'm here checking up on you all :)

elmutt I'm up to a 55 hunter and I'm not bored in the least.  Doing PvP battlegrounds really makes things wrong.

All my characters are female per my normal "I'd rather look at a chick's ass for hours on end" justification.  No problem with getting hit on (dwarf main helps that)

I don't know, I couldn't watch more then about 10 seconds of that movie.  I always play PvE.  I want PvP on my terms not on some bitch 15 year old's terms.
