How does this work? I've never done any fantasy team sporty thing before (except ladies volleyball, maybe) and am completely ignorant about US Punt Ovoid but I might be willing to give this a go if it's not too complicated nor time consuming.

You get a list of players available and you pick from those players who you think will do the best.  Then, depending on how they do in real life, you get points for things they actually did.  The type of league we're going to run here will be decided by whomever has the most points at the end of the season.  You can also trade and bench players during the season.
