Programming / Re: Telephony APIs: Tropo vs Twilio

So I'm checking out which has super low pricing and advertises that you can use any Twilio app with their service by just changing the end points and tokens to point to their API.  So I went to github to look at their SDK and sure enough, it is literally just a few files and the composer script pulls in the Twilio SDK.  LOL.

Just saw his name while browsing a brief history of cProg. I... can... sorta... remember him.

Pay serious attention to drainage above all.  Then anything that will grow into other things this means foliage, root system, or falling over.  Finally views/shadows throughout the day/year/years.  Another tidbit is to plant things that thrive in your area without constant tending and that have a practical use if possible.  For materials go to a supplier that specializes not a garbage supplier like Lowe's or HD.  Materials are far more durable that way.

Neat fact.  If you purchase say a kitchen faucet from Lowes and the like and the same from an actual plumbing supply you receive different products on the inside.

Sold my Ibanez over the weekend. Need to fix up my old amp to sell then buy a new amp.

Some interesting observations from this experience:
 - I've had crazy good experiences buying and selling on Kijiji (like craigslist). All reasonable people, good deals on both buying and selling. Haven't had any no-shows or scams etc... I'm actually surprised at how well it's all worked out so far.
 - Buying new stuff with money you got from selling the old stuff is really rewarding. I get new toys, but no guilt for the money spent. I'm actually up $400 at the moment. I'm still looking to move a few things and acquire a few more but I won't put any money in outside of what I get from selling. It's a bit of a game, I can see how buy/sell could be addicting.

Oh, there is a wide range of software from ammeter to pro.  Looks like a lot of it is simplified (or purposed filled) CAD.

I didn't even know there was software for this.  If there is, I'd love to know about it.

The wife and I are looking to do some redesign of the landscape and I thought it might be nice to use some design software.  Anyone use one they'd recommend?

I'd probably prefer Android but everybody and my mom is on iOS so it's just easier to use that. My daughter has a deactivated phone but I can easily message her just like I'm texting since we both use Apple. My whole family can see photos easily on photo streams.

for what its worth my wife has an iPhone, I have an Android and my kids use android tablets and my old deactivated Android phones and we use the google exosphere to do the same.  Google hangouts (or whatever its called now) lets my wife text the kids and all of the (thousands) of photos my 8-year-old takes on her tablet end up in our shared googled photos library.  All that is built into the Android phones, but I'm sure my wife had to download apps on her iPhone.

There have been a couple times recently I've thought it might be better to have an iPhone - mostly because new tech/apps get developed for them first.  Like I really like the idea of this "smart" insulin pen but their app is only for iOS.  But in the end, I'm still happy with the perceived flexibility I get on the Android platform.
