android tablet
« on: May 02, 2015, 04:45:13 PM »
Need some recommendations on a mid range android tablet. I want to buy two of them and mount them in the car in stead of DVD players. They will be mostly used for media. I would not want to spend more than $200 each. What do you guys recommend?

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Amazon tablets.  HD/HDX.  Great for media.  Not that you care in this case audio books and reading books also.

If you look around a bit they can be had on sale often.

For the screen protector consider a Moshi.

LG G-pad 7" (V400). I thought about picking up a couple of these to use in our pinball league. Or possibly the Galaxy Tab 4.

Knuck, would I be able to rip our current library of DVDs and watch them on the amazon tablet?

There's also an Kindle Kids that's supposed to be tougher, wonder how that would do....

Looks like you can probably load your own media onto it too:

Shoot, there's a yardhouse near my house, when I saw it I thought that might be it, but alas it's a chain. I'll have to sit this one out. :(
