World Cup thread: At least we're not France

Rob's stupid avatar reminded me that the World Cup starts next week.  The US and England are in the same group, which unfortunately means that the US men have to share the field with noted pederast Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney, who is currently being sued by DreamWorks for infringing on their Shrek character's copyright.  Fortunately it'll be a quick kill, as the US-England match is a week from today at 2:30 eastern and the Three Lambs will probably be crying all the way back to Piccadilly by 4:30 eastern.

One of the Brits I game with says that the US may do well.  I had no idea that the Brits hadn't taken the Cup since 66.

Ok, I just jumped on the Argentina boat for my fiance and her family. But still... I was at the Argentina vs Canada game a couple weeks ago in Buenos Aires, lots of fun.

yah...I think getting one goal in will be a success. Both teams have weak defenses now, so it will be interesting. But I think as far as world cup records go, USA has not lost to England in about 50 years :D
