Olympics
« on: February 18, 2010, 08:50:02 PM »
Anyone else care?  TBH I really only am watching the curling and hockey.  The hockey is good, the curling is so so so bad.  Fuck you John Shuster.   And Debbie McCormick, why you gotta make me hate you? :(

Curling? Yawn.

I don't really care, but I'll watch the odd event or two.

I have no idea why I enjoy curling, but it has constituted 80% of my Olympic viewing so far.

I'm still pissed off with NBC for delaying the opening ceremonies when I'm in the same fucking time zone.

Curling's awesome, but I forgot that there were events on MSNBC and CNBC so I only DVR'd the main NBC shows and missed a lot.

I've been watching almost all of the NBC coverage though. I do fast forward a lot, but I've been able to watch a bunch of events and I only know the results of a few of them before watching. (Damn internet!)

I've been watching a lot. The Hockey has been great, I've only watched a couple ends of curling. The mens moguls was awesome, half-pipe is always fun to watch too. The downhill this year was pretty good too.

Cannot believe Slovakia's hockey team beat Russia and Switzerland took Canada to a shootout.  Makes me feel a lot better about the US-Canada game.

The Swiss beat Canada in Turino, I knew it would be a closer match than everyone was predicting. Definitely a huge win for Slovakia!

Canada vs US will be a good game.

an e-mail I got from gamestop:

Quote
There is only so much figure skating you can watch. Sure, the costumes rule, the music rocks and you laugh when they fall down, but doesn't that make you a little angry inside, too? Stop! ...listen to yourself! You're disappointing your friends.

Now, that your shame has been revealed to the world, visit your local GameStop and pick up something that will put your television (or other device) to better use. You can even buy an ice skating game...
Wait. Why are we debating this?

I LOL'd
"I possess a device, in my pocket, that is capable of accessing the entirety of information known to man.  I use it to look at pictures of cats and get in arguments with strangers."

I hope you're not talking about the match that is on right now... I'm enjoying a nice curling match on a Saturday morning.
