I suppose it was a Natalie Portman weekend, but whatever.  Excellent flick IMO, except for one or 2 actors.  It's an interesting concept, and I love the ending of the movie.  Perfect revenge if you ask me.

8/10

I really didn't like the creepy pedophilia vibes they had in this, but it was pretty sweet, especially the last firefight.

Yeah... my wife got kinda weirded out by that too, and I thought it was a little creepy myself, but I looked past it.

He slept with sunglasses on in a chair in the corner near the bed.  And to expand on the pedophilia it wasn't so much that he was after her but she was after him.  From what I've read the European version expands on that part a lot more then the American version.  But yeah it was an excellent flick.

I just realised you're all talking about 'Leon'. Silly Americans. :p
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?.

Yeah, but it was still pretty disturbing, the way she was used as a sex object and everything.

That was the one I watched.

Thanks Ken F I couldn't remember the name outside the US.  Might have to get both and do a comparison.

I have to agree - the writer(s)/directors are responsible for this presentation, although, thankfully, they didn't explore it any further than a brief flirtation; I still found it very uncomfortable viewing, although it's been many years since I saw the film.

Leon the Professional is also one of my favorite flicks.

Actually the original script called for much more sexual innuendo  we see in either of the two versions. Portman's parents said she can star in the movie if they take out those scenes.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
