Ram question
« on: June 11, 2009, 02:07:48 PM »
We have a spare CF-28 toughbook. It has one slot, which was empty, and was showing 128MB ram. i assume onboard or something, shared, built in whatever. I put in a 512MB and it now shoes 384MB installed (512-128). Why is that 128 being deducted from my 512?

are you sure you didn't put in a 256?

We have a new 70 series coming in a few weeks. My boss borrowed mine for a few days and doesnt want to give it back LOL. This one is his spare, we mostly use it for fun. Last week i threw it in the pool for a hour.

Suprised how much faster it is. Reminds me of the days when 384 over 128 was a massive deal. The touchscreen response is better, too.
