Interesting. I've never really had a problem with standard coil method, just making sure to rotate the wire as I'm coiling to go along with the natural wrapping of it (guitar/mic cables and such).

That looks quite useful though. Perhaps I shall tweak my method.

I still think you can screw up that method if you don't rotate the wire as you're wrapping it.

I use that coil method for guitar/mic cables, but it's too much of a pain to care for headphones.
