wow, the audio is amazing on that too.

Wow... I am too old to be good at that game.

That's one of the things I love about the battlefield series. They've always spent a lot of time on the audio aspect. It sounds very realistic even in BF3.

Do you use your mic?
-
Yeah... do you have to talk in military-speak? At least from that video, it seems like teams... and the coordination looks like it would be challenging.

As in right now in BF3? No. I mean I have joined a 'party' once or twice but most of the clans/servers run mumble or something and use that. I don't know about BF4, I haven't read that far yet, but it sound like it would be coming back to the BF2 model, which would be epic!

Even BF3 has teams. 2 sides to the conflict and both sides have squads of 4 or less people per squad. You can interact with your squad and you get more points for doing things for/with your squad than you do for helping the rest of your team, so it promotes teamwork but it is still hard to find a squad that works really well together.
The coordination can be hard unless everyone is on a VOIP setup like mumble, then it's good. It was much better in BF2 with the commander approach and the communication hierarchy (squad can talk in game to squad leaders and squad leaders can communicate with their squad and the commander). It seems like they might be bringing that back in BF4.

The BF2 model was far superior IMO. I have been playing BF3 intermittently lately. Lots of cool effects, physics, etc. but BF2 seemed to have overall better and more cohesive game play.
-
No shit? When do you play? And trust me, the online play is a little rough at first until you rank up and get less of the suppression effect.
-
Weekend mornings ish... It isn't that it is rough. That is expected. New person, new maps, etc. It is that the commander model and in game speech makes that game because you quickly form cohesive teams on the fly. I really liked having or being a good commander.
-
holy shit. this looks immense. awesome and immense. I doubt I will ever play it...but, wow.
-
Why do you say you'll never play it?
-
Cool video with more details about MP. Sounds badass.

Commander mode. Hm.
-
Figured you would like that. And the fact that you can login from anywhere and do it is kind of awesome.

Around 15 minute mark.... game is crashed. :) tee hee

That was pre-Alpha. The game doesn't even come out until the end of October.
