Title: Bad Coffee
Post by: hans on September 30, 2008, 10:29:11 AM
While I'm not a complete coffee snob yet, I am fortunate enough to work at a place where we grind our own beans for coffee each morning. This produces a drinkable cup of coffee (we also use filtered water).
Anyways, we've got some new people staying with us for a little while and they brought their own coffee (pre-ground, cheap stuff). Now it's been a long time since I've had pre-ground coffee and I must say, how can you drink this stuff???? It's terrible.

I think we're going to need to train them on how to grind coffee, or get another coffee pot. Thankfully, I have tea that bridging the gap.

I drink pre-ground coffee but it's awesome Biggby coffee.  At work we have preground Starbucks and it sucks but it is free

I drink pre-ground mainly because im lazy. I have a nice pot, though and that helps. I buy foldgers and only in the french roast. always in thhe big container, and i keep it in the fridge. I use filtered water for everything, too.

At home I pretty much only use the percolator. I buy pre-ground, but some fancy Italian espresso brand.

At school I drink the generic plain-water-drip-pre-ground-balanced-for-profit coffee from one of the local places, it's tolerable.

Haha, the one thing that bugs my mom whenever my dad drinks coffee.  It takes him a day and a half to finish one cup and she always yells at him because he should be drinking it hot.

Oddly, I've never had a great cup of coffee in the States. It's always kind of weak-style.

That is because the coffee here is shitty for the most part.  I have never had coffee so good as I did in France and even Sweden.  BTW China has much much worse coffee than the US does.  And strangely their teas were not very good either.
