I didn't like the songs (except dancing queen) but I actually paid attention to the plot a little. There isn't much meat to this flick, so the goofy acting and bad singing wasn't a big deal.

Wow, you must be the only guy in the world to have seen this film. I heard that even the male cast didnt bother to watch it!

If you recall, when my wife told me she didn't want to see Dark Knight in the theaters she suggested Mamma Mia as a possible alternative. I of course said "hell, no" to that idea. We later ended up seeing Dark Knight, so when we wanted to grab movie that we could watch on New Year's Eve with the kid in the room I allowed her to rent Mamma Mia.
