If you're using something other than the latest version of 6, patch it.  Nero kicks ass IMO.

Microsoft isn't targetting the power users.  They're targetting our parents; yes even yours Rob.

Huh? My Dad's still on '98...

I'm still using Roxio CD/DVD v6. Its faster than nero, more stable, and doesnt crash like nero. Nero bad burns and crashes alot for me, and when it does work its soooo slooooow. They dont list my drive as a problem drive and dont have any updates for it.

I tried several different versions of nero since i got my laptop, on two diff xp installs - same probs. My desktop never liked it too much, either. What is it you dont like about roxio? I've been using it since i have my 4x2x8 lol

Roxio has always been slow and clunky for me.  Nero is straight forward and I can't remember the last time I had a frisbee.  I've also never had it crash on me.  I'm using the latest patch for 6.

Seems we have bizzaro software lol. What works for me doesnt for you and visa versa. Perfect example of how so many software companies stay in the money

I have 7 Ober, but I got it when it was brand new (for $20 in an xmas sale :D).  I need to update it; it should be fine once I do, but that's going to require a reinstall, and the CDs are in a box.
govtcheez03:  i kind of look for it - i seek out stupidity and annoy it until it either gets better, gets banned, or goes away on its own
