Does anyone around here have access to an MS Access MDW password recovery tool?
My dad bought this software a few years ago and it's basically and Access DB. He's outgrown the limitations on the system (his mdb file is 60 meg) and I've been telling him I'd write him a new software package. He wants to migrate the data out of the old system but I can't access the db. I know the username and I found a program that showed me the first two letters of the password but if I don't have to have him spend $50 for a package that would be great.
The software manufacturer is no longer in business and the phone and email have been disconnected so there is no way of getting ahold of the guy.
We can get some of the data out using the reports within the system by outputting to CVS but it would be much easier for him if I could simply open his database and port the data in the software I'll develop for him.
So does anyone have access to such a program (perhaps some DBA out there that frequently deals with Access databases)?
