My son is in a STEM school and they have a lab dedicated to CNC, 3D printers, and other cool fabrication stuff. He hasn't done much with it yet but I'm jealous.

this thing is made up of a 1000 pieces! I guess that is why it is relatively inexpensive because you are assembling EVERYTHING shy of the motors. I went with the Inventibles X- Carve https://www.inventables.com/technologies/x-carve

Not sure yet :p but the idea is to get a creative outlet and another side hustle going with it.

I have not done cad since high school! the CNC I got comes with software - from what I researched, it is pretty decent - I'll be playing around with it shortly

Thanks Jake. Unfortunately when I tried to machine the honeycomb my CNC skipped and messed it up so it finished up in the trash :(
