New phone for the wife

My wife is due for an upgrade at the end of the month.  She currently has a Droid Pro with a full keyboard.  She loves the keyboard but the phone has been a pretty big piece of shit lately.  She's considering an iPhone just because of the docks and other chargers we have around for ipods and stuff that would be handy to use.  But I've also been looking at other Android phones just in case.  I've heard the Galaxy III is pretty good but I'm curious if anyone here would recommend another one?

I think she'll probably end up with an iPhone, probably a 4S, but I want to make sure she has all the options in front of her.

Sounds like either the S3 or 4S would be perfect. Both are supposed to be great phones....and if you want to use those docks for as long as possible - the 4S is the way to go.

my wife was a BB person through and through - she was apprehensive about getting a droid, but currently loves her S3!

like Kermi said, if you want to use those same cables/devices, get the 4S - I think the 5S changed the plug.

didn't read this whole thread, i'm in the middle of doing laundry but I figured I'd share to keep my post count up :) ... my wife got the 4S three weeks ago for her birthday.  she originally wanted the new iPhone 5 but then realized we could save a couple hundred bucks and she doesn't need a bigger screen or 4G (seeing as her old android had neither of those and she gets a long just fine)

My wife just got this http://www.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-one-x/ and absolutely loves it. It's a beautiful phone, really nice screen, 4G, and ships with android 4.0. It's also a lot cheaper than the S3 and the iPhone five. if money wasn't an issue Id get the S3.

Thanks guys.  I appreciate the ideas.  I still haven't had a chance to sit down with her and go over it.  More than likely we'll go with the 4S, but we'll see.  She hates iOS.

...Well then WHY get an iPhone?  I think iOS is going to start seeing some significant changes in a year or so...but nothing until 2014 I bet...if she hates it....

Yeah, I'm not a big iOS fan either. I'd go with an android phone. Check out the HTC phone I posted, it's actually pretty sweet.

Yea - if iOS doesn't find some sort of way to innovate, I may be going a different direction next time around - I just can't get over being the product rather than the consumer....

kermi, she wants the iPhone for convenience (using in docks and shit and all the other chargers we have around).  If it wasn't for that, she'd go Android no question.  I personally hate the Android phones she's had.  I'm perfectly happy with my iPhone.  It just works!  Her's seems to have issues all the time.
