Topic: new hard drives

i just bought two of these from a friend online. NIB 80.00 shipped ea. Bought stuff from him before so i know they are good, i just have a question.

I dont know alot about SATA, my new box will be the first time i use it. So the statement

"With up to 750GB of pure digital storage in a single drive"

confuses me. Its a 400GB hdd, how can it hold 750GB?

I think that means the model (7200.10) can vary in size up to 750GB. Your version is only 400GB though.

ooohhhhhhh that makes so much more sense. God i was confused. I think 800GB's is enough for now, anyway lol

umm... yeah, not like you get more storage magically because it's a SATA... it's just a different interface.

Yea thats what i thought it was just really odd and confusing how it was worded
