I'd say that's pretty damn good for not dropping a dime yourself :)
lucky british bastard.

But since you asked the processor is far from top of the line...so if that's what you were going for then you need one of the AMD X2 64's...other than that that pc should be able to do anything you want it to. So is playing video games an acceptable break activity now? ;)

Ah, no, don't get the wrong idea. I have to pay for it, I just get a very good deal (and pay by salary deduction). We don't get a lot of choice on config, Intel only.

That's pretty decent... although I don't know anything about the video card and a 350W PSU seems a bit weak for that system, especially since it doesn't appear to be of any true horsepower.  I hope you don't plan to game on it.

No, I'm not much of a gamer TBH. When you say true horsepower, to what do you refer, pray tell?

Well for startes the proc blows, but you dont have a choice there. The card is good, its the new FX5200/Radeon 9200 of the PCIx world. You would have been better off with a AMD 64 bit, since the x2's are still insanely high, and a Nvidia 6600/6800 256mb PCIx. But since your not much of a gamer that should suffice.

I'm saving up my cash, i want a dual proc x2 4200+ and sli with dual 6800 256 pcix cards. Top it off with two sata 200gig maxtors and 2gigs of ram and im smoking
hey ethic if you and i were both courting lily allen..... oh wait, which one of us has a relationship that lasted more than the bus ride home?

Well, it doesn't list the maker of the PSU, so I can only imagine that it's some bargain PSU, and more often than not, they're crap.  But again, if you're not a gamer, you shouldn't have much to worry about.

yea the vid card probably won't ever draw that much juice...however the hard drives are a different story...I didn't notice the psu before. I'd watch it, chances are it will last quite some time. But if you've got the cash I'd go with at least a 450w (antec, thermaltake, etc.).

Can't beat full, on-site warranty for making me not want to spend cash :), and I sometimes think you guys worry too much about PSU's. We run full atm's 24x7 on a 650W PSU (including all the peripherals, printers, card reader etc).

I've just had some bad experience in that department in the past year.  :(
