Does anybody on this site root for a winning NFL team? Micah might be the only one. All of our teams suck.

Woopty-freaking-doo!

If you go from Super Bowl winners to not in the playoffs, then you still fall under "All our teams suck."

Eh... I tend to disagree.  We lost a bunch of players.  This year was a rebuilding year.  *snicker*  We'll be back next year!

Yeah ober sure they will....

I have been a Lions fan forever.  Sadly they wasted Sanders, but we fans trudge on.  Heck Detroit has never even been to the Superbowl.  Mark of a true fan I guess.

Born in WY, raised in MI, half my family in NC, now live in PA.

Spent time in Shanghai met and married my wife there.  Lived a year in SC been to France, Canada (alot coworkers and long time friends), Sweden, and China (kind of alot).

There ya have it!

That's cool, whereabouts in Michigan?  I lived pretty much my entire life (minus now and a couple years when we lived in the Soo) just outside of Lansing.

Does everyone in Michigan point somewhere on the palm of their hand when describing where in Michigan they live?  I've met three different people who don't know each other and they all did the same thing.

I sometimes do it if I'm talking to someone who isn't from here and I'm talking about a non-major city.  Since I live near Detroit and grew up near Lansing I don't normally need to do that, though.

Hey!

Lansing rocks!  Especially as you towards East Lansing and Okemos.  The place is exploding!

I grew up in a micro-town called Springport.  Go south of Eaton Rapids about 20 miles.

I worked at the GM/BOC R&D lab that used to be connected to Plant 1 on MLK Blvd (in front of the three Board of Water & Light smoke stacks).  I lived right across from Frandor next to MSU and then over on Edgewood Blvd by Sams Club / Target (watched them build those).

After that I moved to Farmington for a few years.

Whenever we come back to visit we make sure to hit the Lansing area as often as possible.  Still have alot of old work buddies I like to say hullo to when the opportunity presents itself.

I miss Meijers, Mancino's (the one on Saginaw), and lakes!

So what about you?  Whacha up to in Lansing?

Born in Big Rapids, lived in Charlotte for a couple years, then in Lansing (near Potter Park) until I was 7.  Moved up to the Soo for a couple years, then moved back down to Grand Ledge when I was 10.  Lived there until I went to college in Flint with obie-poo.  Now I live in Novi and work for a little engineering place in Livonia at 8 mile and 275.  All my family's still in the Lansing area, and my girlfriend lived there until a few months ago when we moved in together.  Actually, she lived on Newton, so it wouldn't have been too far from where you were.

The thing I miss the most about Lansing is QD.  It's so sad that they're not anywhere outside of the tri-county area :(

edit: If we're talking about the same Mancino's, I think that one is closed now.  On the west side by Renos?

Across from the O'Neil Sony?  I was just there a few weeks ago.  I hope they didn't close!

I worked at a place on Grand River and Drake.  Indoplex Circle to be specific.  Another small engineering firm.

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about.  I could have sworn it was closed.  Guess I was wrong
