I just recently had to prove my Tetris skills on an old school NES and it reminded me I haven't played with my emulators for a while. I started looking for some old NES remotes to hook up to my PC and stumbled on people using their Wiimotes as controllers. Apparently they're just a Bluetooth device and it's quite easy to get them working as a controller.
I downloaded GlovePIE and I'm working on a config script for my emulator.
http://carl.kenner.googlepages.com/glovepie_downloadTo get it working you'll need a Bluetooth adapter (my laptop has one built in).
1. Set the device into pairing mode by pressing the 1+2 buttons at the same time; search for devices. It should discover it, there is no security so it should simply install.
2. Set the device into pairing mode again and connect to the device
3. Run the GlovePIE EXE and load the test wiimote script.
3. Click run and watch the debug text box
4. Edit the script to your needs.
