One of the best parts about sports (besides cheerleaders), is the sheer amount of hatred you end up generating for teams, cities, or even countries. Don't try to deny it, give into your hate and tell us who you hate and why (if you've got a reason)
University of Michigan (obvious)
Michigan State (self loathing)
Mexico
Almost any Central American team (this thread was actually inspired by Guatemala)

The teams I hate are sorta fluid. There are the regulars that are rivals with my favorites, but even those teams will occasionally garner a soft spot from me depending on their situation. For example, I hated the Braves for years and I still consider them a "hate" team, but after years of making the playoffs and only winning the one world series I started to be ok with and even a little bit rooting for them to actually win another title.
So I'm going to put my "teams/players I'm not a fan of" out there even if I occasionally don't mind if they do well:
Cowboys (used to be rivals with 49ers)
Packers (used to be rivals with 49ers)
Lakers (rivals with Kings)
Dodgers (rivals with Giants)
Braves (used to be rivals with Giants)
Yankees (duh)
Notre Dame (?)
Roger Clemens
Vijay Singh
Kobe Bryant
There are no "rival" schools I don't like, because most of them are nearby and I root for them when my schools aren't doing well.

oh, and fans that root for teams because they like the mascot or because they had a "wicked cool" Starter(R) jacket in 1994 (ie, Cowboys, Raiders, Stars, Hornets, Steelers)

I hates me some Dallas Stars (being that edmonton met them in the playoffs like 8 times in 11 consecutive years or something).
Especially Mike Modano, god damn he needs a kick in the teeth (hockey players aren't allowed to have teeth like his).

I'll admit I'm guilty of this. The 05 Champions League final is what really got me into soccer. If kitbag hadn't been sold out of Liverpool shirts after that game, I'd definitely own one right now.
To be fair though, I don't really have a way to follow anything in Europe from here, so I think I've just turned into a fan of the sport in general.
