Hmmm. My trusty HP 3820 just made a bang and dropped a bunch of broken gears on the floor.
Replacement recommendations? Not too worried about speed, but quality would be good. Memory card slots would be a bonus.
Cheers.

laser or inkjet Rob? if laser, color or B&W?

Inkjet. Just a fairly cheap, but good print quality unit for printing a few digi pics and my kids homework. You know the kind of stuff.

I have a HP PSC 1350--pretty good quality printing and does the whole memory card slot thing and makes copies and scans of documents. I think it's really nice...better than the lexmark printer we have.
It uses a buttload amount of software and drivers though. It's also a little on the slow side, but it's not like I'm waiting forever to pick up documents (mostly because I let them sit there for half a day before I bother to get them).

I have a lexmark x63 printer/fax/copy/scanner and i think it accepts mem cards id have to look. I love it.

Rob, the following HPs are my top sellers: HP 6540 - just your basic printer, nothing fancy, but good quality prints ~130USD. HP6840 - doesn't have card slots, but has a USB port in the front, and could be connected to a wireless network ~180.
So next time you're in my neck of the woods, I'll cut you a deal ;)
