Yeah I deregged it before clearing it so I couldn't clear it. Once you register you should be able to wipe it. The battery lasts a looong time. I usually charged about once a month, and that was with reading a little while every night. Leave the wifi and 3g off unless you are buying books.

I just picked up the Nook tablet for my mom's xmas gift and decided I should play with one too. So merry xmas to me I guess. Still keeping my ipad too but should be interesting to see which one I end up using more and for what purposes.
