I don't think it can be undone. As to the firmware I'm unsure as I'm never bothered to study how it works, I just use ziphone.

Not sure about the why or the result, I simply know how to break them. The ziphone website has a lot of info though

Ya know, another thing I love about the iPhone is the call quality.  It's absolutely fantastic.  Damn I love this phone.

Tethering's gonna cost you $30 - there was an app for it but they pulled it....I got the app early though:-)

Once its jailbreaked u can do it as much as u want if you have an internet plan on the phone because they can't prove your tethering. I mean if you download shit constantly they can otherwise your fine

It comes in handy sometimes. There may come a time when you have no wifi but you need internet on the laptop then and there for something the phone can't do or to email a file the phone can't get.

Would suck to have the cable and have never taken 5min to jailbreak the phone.

I do it often enough with my phone.  There are times when I need to use the laptop and I need an internet connection but there isn't any wifi available.

Obes - Knuck is right, get an invisishield from Zagg.  http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/index.php  He convinced me to get mine, and I owe him for it.

I put one on mine right away and I love it.   No scratches, no scuffs, my entire phone is clean as the day I got it...I'm also using a speck toughskin - just ordered my second because I broke mine (human error).  I love it.  The phone is definately bulkier, but it is a lot tougher...
