Fast food breakfast
« on: March 27, 2008, 10:48:20 AM »
So, every now and again I let my cupboards get a bit low on the food supply (or run out of milk or something. So instead of going to the store in the morning on the way to work, I'll stop by McDonald's for hash browns and a McMuffin. But I keeping thinking there must be better places to get a quick breakfast to go?

Where do you guys go in the morning when you've forgotten to shop?

Where there's no breakfast food in the house, I just don't eat breakfast  :D

(although, today i did go to McDonald's so its funny you mentioned that)

I don't like McDonald's or other fast food breakfasts in general, although I recently had a McGriddle that was pretty good.

If I need a fast breakfast I might get a bagel or a donut or a jamba juice. None are drive-thru but all are tastier to me than what the fast food places offer.

I eat granola bars if I don't have time for breakfast.

Einstein.

Good one. I think there's one on my way to work too so that would work great.

I usually keep some granola bars in my desk at work for these sorts of occasions but I'm all out of those right now too. Today was a pop tart out of the vending machine.

I did visit a Subway in WI once that had breakfast menu, but the nearby one here doesn't have it.

In the mornings before class I usually grab three granola bars and pack them for me to munch on in the morning.  If I forget, I'll usually get a bagel from somewhere.

Once a week I get a Latte and a bagel (cut in the bread slicer for easy eating) at Panera.

Recently every couple of weeks I get one of the new MacDonalds McSkillet steak burritos.  Surprisingly they are pretty yummy.  Also, though I have to drive a half a mile, I don't have to leave the property to get MDs.  We have a cafeteria but it is run by cretins and it is quicker and cheaper to do the MDs thing.

Lately I've been eating oatmeal in the morning. I buy the little packets, just add boiling water. Tastey, warm, and quick.
