Cell - Stephen King
« on: June 28, 2007, 09:34:26 AM »
Read this a few months ago. Only remembering it now because I forgot I had planned to read more of his work - luckily my parents quite literally have a whole wall 80% filled with his books.

Anyone recommend what I should read next?

Oh where to begin?  Desperation was pretty good... Dream Catcher was decent.  I'm drawing a blank on the other books I've read of his, but I'm looking forward to reading more of them.  I pretty much ask for several of his books for every Christmas/birthday.  I hope to build my own collection of them.

Read the Dark Tower series and the Stand.

I've read pretty much all of his books minus a couple of the newer ones so if you've got questions about specific ones fire away

Personal favorites are It, the Stand, and Desparation.  I really like the first few books of the Dark Tower series, but stopped liking it from Wizard & Glass on.

Thinner is quite good, pretty short and sweet.  Hearts in Atlantis, not a horror book, but it's easily one of my top ten favourite books of any author.  The Stand, I don't know, I couldn't get into it.  Haven't read much of the Dark Tower, but what I have read is good.

Dark Tower starts out great gets kind of crappy and ends like a POS.

I liked Shawshank and Green Mile.

I read The Stand once, which was very probably once too often.
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?.

These are easily my favorite of his books.

The Cell was decent, but if I remember correctly the ending was rather weird.
