Topic: A little bit about your favourite music

So the idea, if it flies, is to provide a brief bit about your favourite genres of music and post a few clips.  It's a good way to find out about music that you would have never have given the time of day too, and who knows, you might discover something you really like.




The "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" or NWOBHM was a massive influence on bands like Metallica & Megadeth.  It basically created a whole new genre of metal, and was huge shift from the more blues-based metal bands such as Deep Purple, Sabbath and of course, Led Zeppelin.  Of course it's a bit cheesy in contrast to a lot of current metal bands.  Although I was only opening my eyes to the world when this music came out and the movement itself was short lived, it still packs a punch and is a whole hell of a load of good fun to bang your head to.  Enjoy.
