Isn't that the title of a Deathcab for Cutie album?

Face, go download the original song.  It's hell of a lot slower than how they played it.

is that andy on drums?

i just listened to the first half-minute of it and got the gist. It's a shame that ECD confines himself to punkish rock. He actually has some ability at writing.
this apparatus must be unearthed.

* At writing?  I wish I wrote that.  Go listen to the original version of "Transatlanticism" by Death Cab for Cutie.  It's a beautiful song that I took and bastardized into a half-reggae, half-punk song.  My writing isn't anywhere close to it, but you (you being Aran and Jkim) can hear some of our original stuff at the June 4th show.

* The snare drum sucks on that kit because, well, it wasn't ours.  They told us not to bring a kit because it would take too long to switch kits between bands.  The kit belonged to the organizer of the show, who didn't know how to run the show and obviously doesn't know how to maintain his kit either.  Also, we played it a bit faster than the original for the first half, and the second half was just ridiculous -- probably more than twice the beats per minute of the original.

* Yes, that's Andy on drums.

* I don't confine myself to punk rock.  It's just within our general scope to play, and we're looking to get people dancing and having fun rather than be impressed by our musicianship and whatnot.  At least that's my outlook on it.  I write other stuff too -- I just don't play it with the Runkateers.
A sophism of madness...
